Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh green beans washed and trimmed
  • ¾ cup panko breadcrumbs recommended for extra crispiness
  • 1 tablespoon ranch dressing mix
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • Olive oil spray

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 425°F (218°C). Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
  • In a medium bowl, mix together the panko breadcrumbs, ranch dressing mix, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir until the seasonings are evenly distributed throughout the breadcrumbs.
  • Dip each green bean in the beaten eggs, allowing any excess egg to drip off, then coat it in the breadcrumb mixture. Press gently to ensure the crumbs adhere well. Arrange the coated green beans in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet.
  • Once all green beans are coated, lightly mist them with olive oil spray to encourage even browning.
  • Bake the green beans in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes. Carefully remove the baking sheet, flip the green beans, then return them to the oven. Continue baking for another 2 to 5 minutes, or until they’re golden and crispy.
  • Serve these crunchy green beans warm and enjoy their flavorful, savory coating.

Notes

  • Buy pre-washed and trimmed green beans for convenience.
  • Use seasoned breadcrumbs instead of separate spices to save time.
  • For large batches, use a gallon-sized plastic bag to coat multiple green beans at once.
  • Use tweezers, small tongs, or a fork to dip beans in egg and transfer to breadcrumbs, preventing clumping.
  • For extra crispiness, broil green beans for 2 minutes after flipping (watch closely to avoid burning).
  • Air Fryer Option: Preheat to 390°F, cook breaded beans in a single layer for about 5 minutes until golden.
  • Serve green bean fries immediately for best taste.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge and reheat in an oven or toaster oven to restore crispiness (avoid microwaving).
