Ingredients

  • 10 oz bag mini marshmallows
  • 6 tbsp butter
  • 1 cup candy corn
  • 4 ½ cups rice krispies
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  • Start by giving the candy corn a quick rough chop; a few cuts will do the trick, as you want recognizable chunks in the final treats.
  • In a large saucepan over low heat, add the butter and stir it gently until fully melted. Next, pour in the mini marshmallows and stir them continuously until they melt into a smooth, gooey mixture.
  • Take the pan off the heat and fold in the chopped candy corn, stirring just until it’s well distributed.
  • Now, add the Rice Krispies cereal, stirring until each piece is thoroughly coated in the marshmallow mixture.
  • Prepare a 9x13 springform pan by generously coating it with cooking spray or lining it with wax paper. Transfer the candy corn Rice Krispies mixture into the prepared pan, then use a greased spatula to spread it evenly. For an extra festive touch, press a few additional candy corn pieces on top.
  • Let the treats cool completely, then slice into 12 squares. Enjoy this Halloween treat with a sweet, spooky twist!

Notes

  • Avoid overheating the marshmallows; melt them gently to keep them soft and gooey. Overheating can make them stiff.
  • Store rice krispie treats in an airtight container on the countertop or in the fridge for up to 5 days.
  • These treats freeze well for longer storage!
